LaserSpec

LaserSpec

LaserSpec a spin-off from the University of Namur, was founded in 2001, for the commercialisation of laser systems resulting from the University’s R&D program. LaserSpec manufactures SPOPOs that are tunable from the UV (210 nm) to the mid-IR spectral range up to 20 μm.

The further list of laser related products contains: autocorrelators for the measurement of picosecond pulses, nanosecond OPOs tunable from 210 nm to 20 μm, with a bandwidth of a few cm-1 to a 0.01 cm-1, optionally optimized either for maximum pulse energy, maximum power or high resolution. LaserSpec also sells SFG spectrometers. LaserSpec has unique expertise in the integration of OPOs inside laser equipment. It has a global client base.

LaserSpec collaborates with Euroscan S.A. in the FP7 program MIRSURG for the development of OPO generating 6,45 μm beam for medical surgery, and is developing new laser technology oriented towards material treatment and gas analysis in the framework of Eureka program PLASMA.
